ABOUT US FOR NEEGANS
Dewey of Neegan’s Custom Hardwood has been creating unique works for homes, one at a time, for over thirty years. He apprenticed and worked under various masters throughout the West Coast, from California to Washington. Mastering the art of wood graining, beer stains, and the light touch and steady hand required for wallpapering, he learned from Stefan Hallof, the Swedish brush artist.
He also mastered oil-based color mixing under Less Franz, J.H. Clifton from Portland, Oregon, and Stig Einerson from San Juan Capistrano. Learning the fine art of furniture refinishing, WAC glazing finishes, and Finkelstein trompe l’oeil, Dewey progressed through every stage of learning. Eventually, he became self-taught in custom design installation, marquetry, flooring inlays, watercolor dyes, and finishes, working alongside Magnus Anderson and Steven Norberg in Washington, Oregon, and California.
